AREAS OF EXPERTISE Crime. Defending and prosecuting in wide variety of cases. Particular expertise in fraud matters and cases concerning the pharmaceutical industry. Has appeared for clients at the Royal Pharmaceutical Society's disciplinary committee.
BIOGRAPHY He came to the bar relatively late. After a degree in political theory and institutions at the University of Liverpool he did research at the Centre for Mass Communications Research at University of Leicester. There followed two years in the tax department of Arthur Andersen and co where he was involved in large company audits and tax work for individual international clients. He was called to the bar in 1975. He was first in Samuel Parrish's chambers at 3. Paper Buildings and later in Arthur Davidson Q.C.'s set in Grays Inn. He moved to what was to become 6, Grays Inn Square in 1990.
A fluent French speaker and Francophophile, conditioned somewhat by his Marseillaise wife.
The only thing that could make him happier than getting the right verdict is seeing Liverpool win the Premiership.
