In the early years, a mixed practice of mostly criminal law with some civil & family law work. From 1978 until taking Silk in 1994, an almost entirely criminal practice, both prosecuting & defending. Since taking Silk, a predominantly criminal defence practice, but continuing also to prosecute, acting in cases involving every type of serious crime including murder, drugs, sex offences, child abuse, fraud etc.

BIOGRAPHY 1996 Appeared as prosecuting counsel in a murder trial in a
three-part BBC Television series – “Trial By Jury.”
2007 Appeared as prosecuting counsel in a rape trial in a four- part BBC television series – “The Verdict.”
