  BIOGRAPHY
Sheryl is instructed on a wide range of criminal defence work by Solicitors primarily in London and the South East. Her current practice includes cases of serious violence, sexual offences, drugs importation, conspiracies and large scale supply and fraud.

Sheryl has been instructed as led counsel in cases of attempted murder and murder (for both the Crown and defence) and also large scale drugs importations. Her more recent cases have involved defending in a case where the allegation was one of serial sexual offending by a health professional and also a multi-handed Department of Works and Pensions fraud.

Sheryl is regularly instructed to prosecute on behalf of Hertfordshire Crown Prosecution Service; this work largely consists of serious violence and dishonesty/deception offences. She has also been involved in the provision of legal and procedural training with HM Revenue and Customs.

As a criminal practitioner Sheryl’s strengths lie not only in her robust and fearless in-court presentation and advocacy and the provision of decisive legal advice but also developing efficient, friendly yet professional working relationships with both her professional and lay clients.

Other legal interests: Media law and regulation, Music law including contractual and copyright issues, Intellectual property (esp. within Entertainment & Sporting industries); Sheryl has recently completed an LLM masters in the area of Entertainment Law following her own interests in academic analysis and the commercial/legal issues within entertainment industries.

Successful C.o.A. appeal against sentence where defendant had been ordered to serve an excessively lengthy period of unexpired licence period of 8 year sentence consecutive to excessive sentence for class A drug offence.
