BIOGRAPHY Before coming to the Bar Davina prosecuted on behalf of Serco, and was employed at several leading criminal defence solicitors working on some of their largest cases, including multi handed complex drugs importation, money laundering and murder.
On completion of her pupillage in 2007 she accepted tenancy and continues to develop her practice regularly appearing in the Youth, Magistrates and Crown Courts.
She has built on her previous experience of prosecuting breach of electronic curfew orders and is now regularly instructed by Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs, Department of Work and Pensions and the Crown Prosecution Service.
Davina is steadily establishing her defence practice and in a relatively short time has defended at police disciplinary hearings, parole board adjudications and of the several Crown Court trials conducted to date is yet to be convicted.
In February 2008 at Snaresbrook Crown Court she was instructed as led junior, on a multi handed, conspiracy to commit robbery trial. She was brought in to assist in the preparation of all legal arguments, including bad character and abuse of process applications. Her primary responsibility was to tackle the largely contentious and cut throat arguments, in relation to the admissibility of telephone evidence and cross examination of forensic experts.
Her work comprises of all aspects of criminal law including dishonesty, violence, drugs, firearms and sexual offences.
