AREAS OF EXPERTISE Nick recently joined Chambers after successfully completing his Pupillage. During Pupillage he worked extensively on R v Hysenaj (The £53m Securitas Robbery Trial) and gained a vast knowledge of both CCTV and Cell Site Evidence.
Nick undertakes a variety of Defence work including a particular emphasis on Road Traffic, Youth Defendants and in Defending serving Police Officers and other Professionals who are prosecuted due to alleged actions whilst at work. He is also currently instructed in a number of Crown Court Trials and Appeals for offences including Affray, Possession with intent (Class A), Conspiracy and Robbery.
Nick is regularly instructed in complexed Road Traffic cases and has experience of complexed legal argument in this field.
CASES OF NOTE R v O’Flynn (Snaresbrook CC: Junior for Defence. 11 handed conspiracy to counterfeit banknotes with a value in excess of £3m.
R v O (Inner London CC): 17 year old boy charged with Possession with Intent to Supply class A Drugs. Plea at PCMH and successfully persuaded the Judge to suspend sentence.
Youth Defendant’s
R v Y (Barking Y.C): Indecent assault Trial in the Youth Court where the 15 year old client was accused of Sexually assaulting a 7 year old girl (including penetrative actions). Acquitted of all charges after a 4 day trial.
R v X (Thames Y.C): Successful Defence of a 17 yr old accused of threatening his girlfriend with a Knife. The Client was originally on Bail for this matter but was remanded after an allegation of Witness Intimidation was made by the Complainant. Lengthy legal argument as to the admissibility of evidence and acquitted off all charges including the Witness Intimidation after a 2 day trial.
Defence of Serving Police Officers
R v Pinyoun (Hastings M.C):Successful Defence of a serving police officer accused of careless driving which resulted in serious injury to the two complainants. 4 day trial involving complexed expert evidence with regards to the scene of the incident.

R v Beck (Kings Lynn M.C):Successful Defence of a serving Police officer accused of Speeding (97 mph). Acquitted after the Bench accepted that the Officer was in the line of duty and that his speed was necessary for the operation in which he was involved.

PREVIOUS CAREER Nick worked for a firm of solicitors prior to commencing practice at the Bar both preparing cases for trial and representing clients at police interview.
