  AREAS OF EXPERTISE
Defends and prosecutes at the Crown Court, High Court and Court of Appeal. Criminal practice includes cases of conspiracy to defraud, conspiracy to rob, aggravated burglary, grievous bodily harm, offences under the Sex Offences Act 2003 and possession with intent to supply drugs.

Also instructed in extradition cases, prison law and confiscation hearings.

CASES OF NOTE
R –v- Aquib Ijaz Court of Appeal
For the respondent (defendant) in an appeal by the CPS. The Crown appealed a decision to stay confiscation proceedings as an abuse of process. The CPS abandoned the case (November 2008).

R –v- Baker & Others Canterbury Crown Court
Counsel for Paul Baker. Acquitted of conspiracy to defraud following a 4 week trial (April-May 2008).

R –v- John & Others Blackfriars Crown Court
Junior Counsel for Leo John. Acquitted of conspiracy to rob following a 3 week trial (February 2008).

R –v- Abassi & Irish Snaresbrook Crown Court
Counsel for Abassi. Acquitted of possession with intent to supply 1kg cannabis (February 2008).

Roger Coram –v- Criminal Justice Act 1988 High Court
Counsel for the applicant Roger Coram. Certificate of inadequacy granted for the applicant following a contested hearing under the old confiscation law (October 2007).
