PRISON ADJUDICATIONS Increasingly prisoners are realising that not only do they have rights but that those rights require protecting. This realisation coupled with an entitlement that exists for legal representation presents a growing opportunity both for prisoners and the legal profession. Members of Chambers routinely act in such cases ranging from Adjudications to challenges to the lawfulness of the recall of convicted individuals on licence. Such cases, which often touch on complex and sensitive areas of law and procedure, require a high degree of both professionalism and experience. Members of Chambers frequently represent prisoners before the Parole Board where great care and understanding is a prerequisite to ensure that the interests of marginalised prisoners are fully considered and presented. In the current sentencing climate and with increasing media and public interest, such work will inevitably result in closer and greater scrutiny. The envied reputation that Chambers have built in this controversial area of law enables us to provide an extremely high quality service to both lay and professional clients that protects and services their needs at every stage of the process. |
